When you’re looking to get away from it all without sacrificing style and comfort, enter Lipstick Hippie’s little paradise ‘Can Hippie’. In the middle of nature and back to basics you find this creative stay with a full service culinary experience.

Enjoy healthy, fresh, colorful and conscious food. Fish and meat are purchased as fairly and naturally as possible. Vegetables and fruits are treated to remove pesticides and seed oils are banned in every meal. Your body will definitely appreciate what comes out of this tasty kitchen in the morning and evening.

From the pool you enjoy the Mediterranean view, loving dogs walk around quietly to be petted, sometimes a generator in the background for some coffee or light. After a stay at this off-grid hideaway you will be fully charged and inspired without a program. Just let this place do its work and enjoy the comfort, spontaneous activities and delicacies that are offered to you.

If you want to go out, you always have to take the car, but everything is relatively close! For example, the village has a very nice aero club, you can get a flying lesson in an ultralight plane for €90 per person. And believe us, you will fly yourself your first lesson with a good instructor next to you! 5 km away is a beautiful horse riding school where you can easily book a riding lesson or ride outside. On the beach of Gandia you can take (wind) surfing lessons or rent a sub.

In addition, you can indulge yourself in beautiful indoor shopping malls nearby or in the small streets with numerous boutiques in Gandia, Denia and Altea. Spain is also known for its beautiful promenades and boulevards; a short drive away there are plenty. In short, enough to do and we are happy to help you!

Location

We are keeping the exact location a secret for now, Can Hippie is not called a hideaway for nothing 😉 We can tell you that we are located somewhere between Gandia and Denia, near a small village. Within 25 minutes you are on the beautiful beach of Gandia. And the well-known and cozy seaside resorts of Denia, Javea and Altea are a 30-60 minute drive, Valencia is also within an hour. In the vicinity you can visit waterfalls, go to the bustling center of Gandia or enjoy small Spanish villages and beautiful mountain rides.

Indoor

Can Hippie stands for freedom. That means we also don’t have a fixed program. Not every day is the same and you can’t think in advance what you feel like or need during the day. However, we can organize a vinyasa yoga class, fitness workout, breathwork or meditation on request. The swimming pool is open until whatever time you want, in consultation with other guests. Children can help feed the dogs or start an art project. Do you feel like making something with your hands as well? Would you rather make music? Or write in peace? Go ahead! Can Hippie is a creative bubble… relax.

Spanish culture

In the small villages around the house there are several typical Spanish bars where it is often pleasantly busy and where you can enjoy authentic Spanish food and drinks. Here you get a 3-course lunch for €14 or enjoy the regional dish Fideuà. A coffee costs maybe €1.20 and a beer €1.50. We are happy to show you the way, there are plenty in the area! In addition, you can go inland to several places where you encounter few tourists. Enjoy the lively terraces there, the chatter everywhere, children playing in the street till late in the evening and people interacting with each other everywhere. Or enjoy the regional dish Fideuà.

Sleeping comfort

All rooms and the hippie bubble are lovingly furnished, equipped with wonderful mattresses and a luxurious topper for extra comfort. The bedding is soft, made of natural materials and is changed every 3 days. The rooms are compact, cleverly furnished and equipped with a private terrace with lounge chairs.

Relaxation

Sink into the lovely beanbags on your terrace. Take a refreshing morning dip in the pool, opt for a workout or walk or grab a nice book from our mini library. Every morning after breakfast you will receive an off-grid cooler on ice, composed based on your personal favorite drinks. Cheers!

Off-grid charm

Can Hippie is off-grid, and (still) runs on a generator, you can hear it humming in the background when the power comes on for a moment. There is power during the day and in the evening, for the night there is lighting on batteries. We teach you how to deal with this, don’t worry it’s wonderful. Just think about when you charge all your devices so that you never have an empty battery. We’ve got you!
